SPTB Potluck and Holiday Exchange Bazaar

November Potluck and Holiday Exchange Bazaar!

Are you looking for a sustainable, green, complementary-currency way to get ready for the holiday season? November's group activity will be an opportunity for members to arrange Timebank exchanges in person at a Timebank Bazaar. To go along with the holiday theme, we will be showcasing the following special Offer Categories like Transportation & Errands, Help at Home, Health and Wellness, Lessons and Education, Miscellaneous Holiday Services and Exchange of New and Used Goods for Gifting. Check out some of the examples in this chart to give you some ideas of what to offer and request at the exchange bazaar!

We hold one Timebank potluck every month, this month we will have it a week early because of Thanksgiving. Please note all potlucks start at 6:30 pm. If you can come early to help us set up the room, please arrive as early as 6:00. This event is at the Enoch Davis Center, at 1111 18th Ave S, St. Petersburg, FL.

At our potluck meetups we get together, eat good food, and share a little bit about the Timebank and do an activity to facilitate community exchanges*. Bring a healthy dish (and a list of your ingredients) to share and get ready to build relationships with other like-minded folks.
Meeting and getting to know members in person is one of the best ways to start making your exchanges happen! We facilitate different fun group activities to help members get to know each other better. If you've been wondering how to get more exchanges, come to a potluck and build some Social Capital! (Please note our monthly Potluck Member Meetups are not orientations and attendance does not activate one's Time Bank account **)
We encourage Zero Waste potluck participation; record 1 Time Credit per person from the Time Bank account if you bring your own reusable water bottle, plate and cutlery.
Also record 1 Time Credit if you wear a reusable name tag. The Pinellas Community Composting Alliance provides composting services and we provide compostable paper plates and reusable forks and napkins at the potluck that are washed and reused.
Swap Table: Bring your gently used household items, tools, clothing, etc. for the Swap Table. If you bring items for the Swap Table, record the exchange as a service provider to take Time Credit(s) from the Timebank account. If you take home item(s) from the swap table, record the exchange as the service recipient and donate Time Credit(s) to the Timebank account. If you’ve already arranged the exchange with a specific member, write To: (and the member’s name on them) and From: (with your name) so they know who to donate the Time Credits to. We donate any unclaimed items to Charity Clothing Pickup.
*Please note only active and activated members of the Time Bank can exchange Time Credits with our members.
